EMT Refresher9/5/2008 - Health Career Institute News
The Emergency Medical Technician Refresher Course is mandated by Florida State Statue 401 in that each licensed EMT must complete at lease 30 hours of a United States Department of Transportation approved refresher class. The class must cover refresher course required by the State and be by an approved training site.
The following is the EMS agenda approved by the Florida Department of Health Bureau of EMS:
- Airway and Breathing
- Cardiology
- Medical
- Trauma
- Pediatrics / Obstetrics
- Operations
Psycho-motor Objectives include:
- Back boarding
- Patient Assessment
- Trauma
- Airway Adjuncts
