Did You Know? HCI’s Paramedic Program is Accredited by ACCSC and CoAEMSP

Health Career Institute’s Paramedic program is accredited by the ACCSC and the CoAEMSP.

We ensure that the training we offer meets the highest standards, but you may be curious about what those accreditations mean and why they make a difference.

What is ACCSC?

ACCSC stands for the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges. Becoming accredited is voluntary but shows that a school adheres to certain standards in the education that they provide.

The ACCSC accreditation holds HCI accountable for our programs. We want to provide a well-rounded education that prepares our students for their career fields.

Paramedics need to have technical knowledge and skills, as well as medical knowledge and critical thinking abilities. You should be ready for the career you want by the time you graduate.

All of our programs are accredited by the ACCSC, and we design our certification programs and degrees with those standards in mind.

What is CoAEMSP?

The Paramedic program is also accredited by CoAEMSP. The Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions has a set of standards specifically for emergency medical services professions like EMT and Paramedic.

CoAEMSP’s goal is to improve patient care. Paramedic programs have to meet their accreditation standards and hold themselves accountable to the guidelines in order to maintain accreditation.

The CoAEMSP accreditation also means that HCI Paramedic program graduates can become certified as a Paramedic at the national level. Without CoAEMSP accreditation, Paramedics would only be able to become certified at the state or local level. You can have more opportunities if you are registered under a national certification.

Enrolling in a Paramedic program that is accredited by CoAEMSP ensures that you are receiving the best level of training for your career, as well as eligibility for National EMS Certification. Graduates of programs that are not accredited become ineligible for the NREMT.

HCI’s Paramedic program is accredited by both of these accrediting institutions. You can be assured that you are receiving the most current standards regarding your training and have professional standing upon graduation.
