Fitting the AS in EMS Online Classes into Your Schedule

AS in EMS Online

The principle goal for an EMT is to administer basic emergency medical attention and transportation for patients in need.

You would think that to become an EMT you would need to learn in a hands-on environment, right?  Wrong.  There are actually many online AS in EMS programs that are considered hybrid programs.  Some portions will require in-person training, but what you may not know is that most of the academic portion can be done from home.   Online training programs will prepare a future EMT to determine a patient’s condition and handle different emergencies such as cardiac, respiratory and trauma.

AS in EMS and a Busy Schedule

Fitting AS in EMS courses into your already busy schedule won’t be as hard as you think.  Typically an AS in EMS program will take about 2 years to complete if you are a full-time student.

However, if online classes are the best option for you, taking courses throughout the year (including summer) can help with trying to keep you on that two year track.  Many people who take online courses are also busy with full-time jobs, families, or other responsibilities, so many people decide to take their classes in the evening.

Taking online courses gives you the freedom to work at your own pace and on your own time.  Fitting your Associates in EMS into your schedule shouldn’t be a concern, because there is so much flexibility when it comes to online courses.
