Earning an ASN
The Associate of Science in Nursing degree at HCI prepares students for a career in the nursing field through 72 credit hours of instruction. Courses will include a combination of lectures, laboratory work, clinicals, and field training for a comprehensive and thorough understanding of nursing responsibilities and health care procedures.
Nurses work with patients to coordinate their care. Whether it’s checking in on a patient with an IV or taking blood for lab work, nurses will participate in many aspects of a patient’s care and will often be the person that the patient sees the most.
Hands-on Experience
HCI’s nursing program integrates a holistic approach to patients, which includes showing compassion, empathy, and care with patients at all times. Graduates will demonstrate knowledge, cognitive ability, and technical proficiency with medical equipment and procedures.
Getting hands-on experience through simulated medical settings and through actual interactions with patients in real-life scenarios prepares you, the graduate, with the tools you need for becoming a nurse in Florida.
Nursing students become well-acquainted with professional nursing techniques, human anatomy and physiology, and caring for patients in a variety of medical situations.
When you have completed the program, you will be ready to take the National Council Licensing Exam (NCLEX) to become a Registered Nurse (RN).
Our program is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) and approved by the Florida Board of Nursing. Upon graduation, students will not only have obtained an ASN but be prepared to handle real-world nursing.
