Health Career Institute Launches Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree Program, Offered through the West Palm Beach Campus
West Palm Beach, FL — January 2, 2018 — Health Career Institute (HCI), a nationally accredited private postsecondary school dedicated to individual student enrichment, announced today the launching of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree program, which is offered 100% online through HCI’s flagship West Palm Beach campus beginning 1/8/2018.
HCI is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) and devoted to helping students overcome challenges, exceed their expectations, and change their lives. In addition to offering general education and professional diploma programs, HCI also offers associate of science degrees in the nursing and paramedic fields as well as in fire science for firefighters.
The Bachelor of Science in nursing degree program focuses on personal wellness, critical care concepts, and professional development including leadership and management skills. To enroll, applicants must have already attained their associate degree in nursing and must have an active Florida registered nurse’s license, as the program expands on skills learned in the prerequisite programs.
BSN students, over the course of the curriculum, will attain:

- familiarity with the hospital environment including (but not limited to) policies, practices, equipment, and skills as they relate directly and or indirectly to the field of nursing
In addition to core principles of nursing such as nutrition, pathophysiology, and geriatric care, the BSN program also delves into the history of nursing, theoretical concepts, societal and community health contexts, and critical decision making. As with other degree programs offered at HCI, the BSN program incorporates general education subjects including American literature, philosophy, psychology, and statistics.
