HCI College now offers class scheduling that accommodates the ABC-style work schedules of firefighters and other emergency workers.
Becoming a paramedic at HCI College
The HCI College Paramedic program gets you ready for a career as a Paramedic. EMTs and Firefighters can advance their careers with Paramedic training. You will be able to continue to work in the field while attending classes. HCI College’s shift-friendly schedules help you to manage your time and give you the full educational experience.
You can choose from A, B and C-shift course schedules. The classes are held between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Even more, you only focus on one class at a time! A traditional college schedule tends to involve taking multiple classes at once across several days per week – which can be unmanageable when you work as a firefighter.
Shift-friendly classes follow a similar pattern to your work schedule with one course per term. You can focus on your classes this way. The time management is very doable for many of our students who work rotating shifts.
Graduate in 12 months
The shift-friendly scheduling at HCI College still helps you to graduate with a Paramedic diploma in 12 months. Your three semesters of courses are stretched out over the year as you take one class per term. In the meantime, you can continue to work as an EMT or firefighter.
Paramedics are advanced emergency medical technicians. As a Firefighter with paramedic training, you can take on other roles in your department. It also provides you with more skills and knowledge to help people in the field. EMTs can also advance their careers with Paramedic training.
