Associate of Applied Science Degree in Veterinary Technician

The AAS Veterinary Technician program is designed to equip students like you with essential skills and knowledge in animal health care. This is a comprehensive program that covers various aspects of animal care, including anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, animal behavior, and clinical procedures. This program of study aims to develop students’ competence in animal handling, diagnostic imaging, basic surgical procedures, and laboratory techniques.

Program Description

The AAS Veterinary Technician program is intended to provide students with the entry-level knowledge and abilities to obtain employment as a veterinary technician. The goal of the program is to produce graduates that function as members of the veterinary healthcare team. The program provides a strong foundation in basic sciences along with the training necessary to develop the technical and critical thinking skills needed by entry-level veterinary technicians.
